No Sabes Quien Eres?


Vivimos en un mundo que nos pone etiquetas basado en lo que hacemos para vivir o qué escuela asistimos, o con quien estas casado, o qué coche conduces, etc.... provocando que estemos en un frenesí constante, tratando de encontrar la validación de los demás. ¿Te has encontrado tratando de complacer a otros y buscando la aprobación de los que considera como prestigioso? Pues yo si! Muchas veces me puse a buscar la aprobación de esos allegado a mí, a los que admiro. Pero en esa búsqueda de lo que yo llamo ahora "validación falsa', descubrí que no sabía quién era yo.

Mire, cuando entendemos que somos nosotros, ya no tenemos que buscar fuera de nosotros mismos para encontrar la validación. La palabra de Dios dice, "es en Cristo que descubrimos quiénes somos y para que vivimos"...Efesios 1:11 (traducción de el mensaje). Si Cristo vive dentro de nosotros, entonces no hay que mirar fuera de nosotros mismos. Dios tenía sus ojos sobre nosotros, incluso antes de que fuimos pensados. Planes y propósitos de Dios esta establecido para nosotros. Nos escogió como un diseño para su gloria. Hoy mi querido amigo, si no han recibido una palmadita en la espalda o reconocido por su duro trabajo y te sientes y triste al respecto, entonces le animo a buscar tus motivos y entender quién eres en Cristo y en lugar de trabajar duro para impresionar a los demás, trabajar aún más para honrar a Dios en todo lo que hacemos. Trabajar como si fuera Dios. Busca su validación a través de Cristo. Dios piensa que eres bastante chévere!

11 En él digo, en quien asimismo tuvimos suerte, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que hace todas las cosas según el consejo de su voluntad, 12 Para que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros que antes esperamos en Cristo. 

Don't Know Who You Are?



We live in a world that tags labels on us based on what we do for a living or what school we attended, or who you are married to, or what car you drive, etc.... causing us to be in a constant frenzy, trying to find validation from others. Do you find yourself trying to please others and looking for approval from those you consider to be prestigious? Well I have! Many times I looked for the approval of those closet to me, from those that I admired, from those who I wish to be like. But in that search for what I call now "false validation," I found that I did not know who I was. 

See, when we understand who we are we no longer have to look outside ourselves to find validation. Look at what word of God states, "It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for"..Eph  1: 11 (The Message translation). If Christ lives within us then there is no need for us to look outside ourselves. God had His eyes on us even before we were thought of. God's purposes and plans have been laid out for us. He chose us as a design for his glory. Today my dear friend, if you have not gotten a pat on your back or recognized for your hard work and are feeling bummed out about it, then I encourage you to search your motives and understand who you are in Christ and instead of working hard to impress others, work even harder towards honoring God in all you do. Work as if it was unto God. Find your validation through Christ. He thinks you are pretty great!   Love SOLEMN

Strengthen your inner man with God's Power. The power that squashes depression, confusion, stress, low self esteem, restlessness, identity crisis, and so many others. And to maintain this strength, it is imperative that we remain deeply rooted in the foundation of the Word of God. Family, if we allow God to dwell (live) in us then we will know God. And when we know God then we will understand our place in God. It is a place of honor and authority. In knowing God we understand His love for us and plan for our lives.

Be filled with God this year. Peel off the layers of life that suffocates our soul and keeps us from embracing God fully.

This is my wish for you this year.

GOD'S GRACE OVER ME

God's calling on my life has been prevalent since I was a child. The delay in the manifestation of the calling was all part of the package. God gave me the gift of writing songs as a way to express my inner most thoughts and feelings. Throughout my life I kept a journal of my life. The writings were mainly prayers and conversations I had with God. I did not know that He would use that as training for me to become a songwriter. There were many nights that I would wake up from a dream and write a song that I was singing to God in my dream. I would have glorious experiences while dreaming. Being in the presence of the Lord worshiping and singing to Him. During my adolescences I became very close to God. I learn very early on that I needed to depend on God. My father left our home and I was in a lot of pain. It was during that time that I would spend countless hours in my room writing and singing to Lord about how I felt. I would listen to Christian radio and look at Christian music videos that would inspire me and motivate me to find solace in God. Influential Christian singers such as Petra, CARMEN, BEBE & CECE Winans, Tramain Hawkins, Helen Baylor, Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman were the instruments God used to comfort me and bring joy. I did not feel alone during those times they accompanied me. Today, I look back and see how God's hand carried me through one of the toughest times in my life. It is with that foundation that I accepted the calling to minister in song and share my gift of writing with many who may be facing the same challenges I faced. The word of the Lord states, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9, NIV). It is for this reason that I can give to others what God so graciously has given to me.
